Anthony Phillips is a skilled licensed Massage Therapist with 20 years experience in the field of bodywork.
As a professional dancer, he worked with many innovative modern dance companies around the world. His training and experience as a dance artist led to teaching and bodywork, blending several approaches to movement education and therapeutic touch. His work is informed by the study and practice of Shiatsu, Zero Balancing, Qigong, Pilates, Deep Tissue Massage, Thai Massage, Reiki, the work of Barbara Mahler/Susan Klein, the work of Irene Dowd, Myofascial Release techniques, and a lifelong study of anatomy and movement.
A graduate of the University of Georgia and the Swedish Institute College of Health Sciences, Anthony is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association and the sole proprietor of SMUSHstudio, a space for bodywork.
